Delegation Service Overview

Tezos Tacos provides a safe, secure delegation service to let you easily earn baking rewards by letting us bake on your behalf. If you already own Tezos coins, simply set the Tezos Tacos delegation address as the delegate of your KT1 account.

Our fee is 7% which means 93% of your baking rewards go directly back to your delegated account.

Note: Our minimum delegation amount is 500 XTZ.

TRANSPARENCY

Tezos Tacos believes in the highest levels of transparency and honesty in the Tezos baking community. It is with this in mind that Tezos Tacos uses Baking Bad (Baking-Bad.org), an independent Tezos delegation auditing service to offer complete and total insight into your delegation payouts which keeps you entirely in control.

To check your delegation payout audit, enter your KT1 address in the box below and click on search button.

Please note that it will take at least 7 Tezos baking cycles before your audit results will appear

The TezBox wallet, created by Stephen Andrews, features an easy-to-use interface for delegating your Tezos coins. Once your wallet has been created or restored in the TezBox wallet, follow these simple steps below to set the delegation to Tezos Tacos.

  1. Create anew KT1 account to delegate your coins from
  2. Transfer the amount of Tezos coins you want to delegate to your KT1 account
  3. Set the delegation on the KT1 account to Tezos Tacos

1. Create a new KT1 account by clicking “Add Account”

2. The new KT1 account is empty, you must transfer coins into it

Select your Main account, then click the “Send” tab, input your new KT1 account to the destination address, fill in the amount of Tezos coins, and hit the “Send” button. These coins will move from your main account to your KT1 account which is a necessary step for delegating your coins. Think of the KT1 as a sub-account of your main account.

3. Set delegation on the KT1 account to Tezos Tacos tz1 address

Once your KT1 account has been funded, select the account in the list, and go to the “Delegate” tab. Select “Custom” from the “Delegate Options” drop-down box and put in the Tezos Tacos delegation address in the “Custom Delegate” box:

Click “Update Delegate” and that’s it! We will see your delegation on the Tezos blockchain and you will begin earning rewards in several cycles.

Delegation Faq

Delegation allows you to put your coins to work on the Tezos network by allowing another party to use your coins for baking. While delegation is set, you retain full and complete ownership over your coins at all times while earning baking rewards from Tezos Tacos. The reason for choosing delegation over solo-baking may include not having enough coins to meet the 8,000 coin minimum or simply not wanting to spend the time and effort involved with setting up a baking server.

You must set the Tezos Tacos tz1 account as the delegate on your KT1 account.

Our delegation address: tz1bkKTY9Y3rTsHbpr2fbGUCRm736LLquQfM

Note: Our minimum delegation amount is 500 XTZ.

For the coin holder, there is zero risk when delegating coins since you retain full ownership over the coins at all times. As your delegate, Tezos Tacos incurs all the risk associated with putting up the baking bond.

Tezos Tacos returns 93% of rewards to all delegators (you, the customer!) and retains 7% for providing this delegation service and supporting TezosInsider.com. This amount is dynamic in relation to the number of rewards from each cycle based on the number of Tezos coins being baked overall on the network.

Rewards are paid during the cycle they are received from the network. As part of a safeguard, Tezos does not release baking rewards for 5 cycles following the baked cycle. We return your rewards as soon as they become available to us.

Yes! As you earn rewards, and a new snapshot of your account is taken each cycle by the Tezos network, your delegation amount will increase slightly. This happens automatically so you can let the rewards compound over time.

Bakers must put up a bond of roughly 8% of the amount of Tezos coins which are delegated to them. This means that if a baker does not have sufficient funds to cover the entire amount of coins delegated to them, they will not be awarded baking rewards for their entire delegation. Tezos Tacos has plenty of delegation space available and if we get closer to full capacity we will stop accepting new delegations.
